Are you by any chance trying to do this on an OS X machine? That's going to lead to pain and suffering. For example, there are a couple of files which have the same name with different case, which isn't going to work on a default OS X install. By default OS X has a case insensitive file system. It's possible to change that, but you *really* want a Linux system to build the kernel. Regards, Kristof
