I have email on my own domain but I send mail from gmail smtp. If I send a patch from it, will it be applied or gone to spam?
What do you mean?
Gmail SMTP would be for gmail hosted emails.
Anyways, to ensure delivery to inbox, make sure SPF/DKIM/DMARC pass in usual cases.
Basically, good mail-related DNS settings.
And of course, no actual spam! :P
Thanks, Siddh
I made a workaround, so to speak. I set up email forwarding from my domain to Gmail, and added custom email as an alias with the Gmail SMTP server in Gmail. It works, but when I look at my emails in another Gmail account, I see the note “via gmail.com” and the field “mailed-by:gmail.com.” By the way, I'm sending this email in this way. Thanks, David
