Build your kernel with CONFIG_BOOTPARAM_HARDLOCKUP_PANIC and/or CONFIG_BOOTPARAM_SOFTLOCKUP_PANIC and then stick an infinite loop somewhere in the kernel. See lib/Kconfig.debug under 'Debug Lockups and Hangs'.
Hi Valids, I am able to configure the kernel with soft and hard lockup flags but now I would like to generate and hard and soft lockup event and verify it and was wondering if we have any tool in place that I can use, if not, any guidance of how to go about testing it will be great. Regards, Vipul.
