i'm just getting back to trying to figure out what's happening with a simple kernel configure and build on my 64-bit ubuntu system, and can't believe no one else is running into this issue. with the current "git pull" of linus' tree, and a really boring configuration, the build eventually fails trying to build a module as follows: FATAL: arch/x86/crypto/ghash-clmulni-intel: sizeof(struct x86cpu_device_id)=12 is not a modulo of the size of section __mod_x86cpu_device_table=32. Fix definition of struct x86cpu_device_id in mod_devicetable.h make[2]: *** [__modpost] Error 1 make[1]: *** [modules] Error 2 make: *** [sub-make] Error 2 one solution is to simply select that feature as built-in rather than modular. at that point, i get another similar error elsewhere: FATAL: arch/x86/kvm/kvm-intel: sizeof(struct x86cpu_device_id)=12 is not a modulo of the size of section __mod_x86cpu_device_table=32.
