Getting started with kernel programming..

I have been reading about Linux kernel from LLD3 and famous book from Robert Love. Now I want to get into the kernel code. How should I start contributing to the main kernel? Where should I start from? And If I am planning to take kernel programming as my career what should I keep track of? Please help me.
