is there a method to minize kernel size using menuconfig and minial driver?

Hello list members, Is there a nice method to minimize the kernel Image size using 'make menuconfig'? I have to build a minimum linux Image supporting only interrupt controller, timer and uart.(for use in rtl simulation). (We are doing it for arm64) Any comment will be appreciated. Thanks! Chan Kim
