auditd conditional logging flexibility

Greets, auditd doesn't seem to support the type of flexibility I'm looking for in terms of filters. I'd like to log system calls based upon PID or path based upon /proc/self/exe, e.g. /usr/sbin/sshd. This is primarily due to log volume. Is what I'm looking for possible? Or done better another way? A related question is about the "task" directive. On a given PID or path as described above, does "task" only log artifacts related to the PID or path and its descendants? I'm not sure if I'm reading the auditd docs correctly. Thanks. Sean

Problems with of_find_compatible_node

Hello out there, I got a problem with the kernel function "of_find_compatible_node". I use it with: np = of_find_compatible_node(NULL,NULL, "xilinx,cpld-led"); or with np = of_find_compatible_node(NULL,NULL, "cpld-led"); but none of this works, because I get a null-pointer back. But it suppose to work? The target is a PPC-walnut-board. Which is the mechanism behind this function, which namespace is parsed in order to detect devices on the board? Can I parse the whole namespace in order to list up all devices? What else can I do to solve this problem? Thank you in advance... Regards /chris

How to see the list of Interrupts that have occurred so far?

Hi, I would like to know how i can see which interrupt has occurred on an running maching using T32? I am debugging some cache errors, for which i wish to keep an eye on the interrupts. In short i want to know how does /proc/interrupts gets gets the list of the interrupts? Thanks, Manty

How to change EEPROM device address in kernel

Hi, I am using MPC8280 based custom board for evaluation purpose. I am trying to enable I2C-EEPROM (AT24c512) for kernel version 2.6.39 but unable to find the device address code. My device is connected at address 0xA2, but in code for eeprom its searching only the range 0x50-0x57. I tried to add the address in eeprom.c file but getting probe error. Checking if a Buffer head is valid or not

Hi, I've a question regarding how to check if a buffer head is valid. Suppose that I've read in a block using sb_bread and that buffer head hasn't been touched in a while so that it's uptodate. Now suppose that somebody drops the caches from user space. I looked at the code and found the following, Beginning from drop_caches_sysctl_handler --->iterate_supers ---->drop_pagecache_sb --->invalidate_mapping_pages ---->invalidate_inode_page --->invalidate_complete_page --->try_to_release_page In the try_to_release_page there's call to try_to_free_buffers Now since i would be having a pointer to the buffer head which is already uptodate and nothing going on with it this would actually free the buffer. There's a call to kmem_cache_free, so i would be left with a pointer which is invalid [Correct?] Now how do I check if i need to re-read this buffer from disk since the pointer is actually not valid anymore so checking for bh_uptodate doesn't make sense. Hi, I am looking at this patch: http://lists.openwall.net/netdev/2007/08/24/29 and I cannot understand it. Can somebody please try to explain ? more specifically: Can somebody please give an example of some setup of IPsec tunnel where the ip_rt_send_redirect() method should not be called when the skb->sp is not NULL ? (in other words, why if the SKB is and IPsec SKB, we should not send a redirect in such a case while forwarding a packet; note I am talking about IPv4) Note that the check for skb->sp was changed in recent kernels to skb_sec_path(skb), but it is essentially the same.
