File transfer to mobile phone using Bluetooth

Hi, I am working on Ubuntu-10.4 and I want to transfer 'hello.txt' file form my computer to mobile phone (Nokia 7210). KGDB command line options not working for kernel 2.6.32

Hi all, Im using the following compile options for kernel 2.6.32 CONFIG_KGDB = y CONFIG_KGDB_SERIAL_CONSOLE = y While booting the kernel Im using the following command line options kgdboc=ttyS0, 115200 kgdbwait Neither is the kernel waiting for gdb connection nor is it sending any thing to the serial port. I tried reordering the options with kgdbwait first, but both are not working. I also tried kgdb8250 but no change. My serial console is working when I give console=ttyS0 option. So the serial interface seems to work fine. I saw this problem reported by multiple people in different forums but there seem to be no resolution. I tried all the suggestions but none works. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks Shaji Yusuf

kernel compiling problems

Hi, Sometimes I get errors when compiling the latest staging tree - recently it happened on the device drivers > mtd module due to duplicate module_init functions and the build breaks. Do I need to report them or its handled by some auto build system that takes care of it. Also I get errors on CONFIG_DEBUG_SECTION_MISMATCH. Do I need to report them and to whom ? Regards.

process stack

Each process is having a stack . In C ,for *local variables* allocation this stack is used (for some extra usage also). what about *static and global *data allocation ? where this data will be allocated ?. what about dynamic memory allocation ?

power on self test (POST) config option in kernel config

Hi, One of my devices runs with Centos 5.3 kernel (kernel-2.6.18-128.el5) and that box stops responding occasionally. When did hard reboot, it comes to normal execution. I would like to see which device failure caused the box to stop rebooting. I would like to see the POST process execution (if enabled) during the centos kernel boot time. kernel debugging nodes missing from /sys/kernel

I've two 64 bit machines,both have Linux kernel running, but on one of the machines I'm not seeing any node under /sys/kernel/debug. I checked some config(CONFIG_*) in the kernel configuration file on both machines but they seem to be the same.
