HI,
seems like http://www.whence.com/minimodem/
Yup, that would be the one. Its a neat little modem, nice and simple. It can be set up to receive/transmit different forms of FSK. RTTY, SAME etc. It doesn't implement framing for many things (That is though it can receive bell202 at 1200bps (like in APRS) there is still a ax.25 frame + APRS that would need to be decoded). As an example application: Recently I made a RTTY encoder for the arduino (https://github.com/kg4sgp/arduino-rtty) that with a GPS I use to send a pre-formatted RTTY string with the location. A friend of mine wrote a neat little app using minimodem as the FSK decoder that parsed the string, got the location and then plotted it on goggle maps. The whole thing might be used for a high altitude balloon flight with a club that both of us are involved with (http://wiki.w8upd.org).
You don't say, but: maintained at Fedora as an SRPM?
I don't understand exactly what you're asking. It is in the fedora repositories (that is you can "yum search minimodem" and it will come up for f18 - rawhide). There are SRPMs at http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/minimodem.git/
and WOW -- first post I have seen in a 'coon's age' on this mailing list. Actually the first my records show since I subscribed other than procedural matter

Thanks! Activity is always good I guess :).
As I lack the ability to do the edits you seek, I'll await a reply by another
