Maybe we should compile a list of current ham radio related apps/programs and then identify the ones you want to use. Another way of saying this is what are your own interests, radio wise, and do you see a need anywhere?
I'd say the wiki pages need some attention, unfortunately, it is not possible for me to log in to make edits, as per policy to prevent spam. (Now I understand what @Ben Williams meant in his response to my request to join this SIG). What is the expected way to join a group and gain edit privileges in the wiki?
Regarding packaging, I'm currently going through the existing documentation to understand the process.
You may not have a good idea on this until you are getting on the air so to speak. Myself, I want to try getting digital modes up and running. Unfortunately, I get so busy with other stuff I never seem to have the time. This is mostly new for me as well, as I'm just starting to learn about the different modes in existence. For the time being, I think I'd like to start by updating the information in the wiki while I get familiar with the packaging process. (I build packages locally for my own use, but packaging for the distribution is a different thing) I'll ask for help/mentorship when I'm confident enough with it.
Is there any wish-list regarding the wiki pages? As far as I can tell, there is no standard format to present the content and each SIG does it in a different way. Updating the list of packages and maybe using a format like in [1] could be useful.
In any case, I'd appreciate if somebody in the SIG can point me in the right direction wrt joining the group and/or getting edit privileges in the wiki.
