spamikaze installation

Should I use the 0.1 or 0.2 version?

If I do a lot of work to get this thing running, can I upload the fixed MySQL script and better installation instructions?

Hi Eric,

I would classify the project as somewhere between dormant and dead. I don't think there has been any significant work done since circa 2006.

Having said that, when I last had the software running it was working really well. If you can get it running in a current software environment I'm sure it will get the job done for you. MySQL is definitely the right DB, but as you noted the syntax of the schema file may be a little outdated now.

Cheers,

Rob

I've started to do the install of Spamikaze, and the installation instructions are...lacking.

The database file (spamikaze-mysql.sql) isn't formatted correctly for MySQL 5.x-I had to manually create the tables, columns, and indexes.

Should I be using MySQL in the first place? I found an article that said that it will bog down very quickly and to use PostgreSQL instead.

And, how do I do the actual install? I used git to clone the repository, do I need to "make install" or something at this point?

I guess what I really want to ask is, is this project dead? Or just undocumented?
