global descriptor table in X86 Linux

Hi

Ive heard that Linux uses the flat mode segmentation, i.e. the segmentation
base is forced to be 0 and the limit to be 2^64.

I am having trouble finding the kernel code that sets up the GDT, can
someone please point me to the right direction.
