Help with git

I am tried your idea and not working. Really weird, seems I am not
using the correct commands.
The commands I am using are
1.git branch next
2.git remote add -t master -f next
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/sfr/linux-next.git

And that's it. I hit the git message of this,

usage: git remote add [<options>] <name> <url>

    -f, --fetch           fetch the remote branches
    --tags                import all tags and associated objects when fetching
                          or do not fetch any tag at all (--no-tags)
    -t, --track <branch>  branch(es) to track
    -m, --master <branch>
                          master branch
    --mirror[=<push|fetch>]
                          set up remote as a mirror to push to or fetch from
