Kernel merge warning

Hi,

I get following warnings when merge kernel branches.
 warning: inexact rename detection was skipped due to too many files.
warning: you may want to set your merge.renamelimit variable to at least
6158 and retry the command.

Is it OK to go with above suggestion  and increase  merge.renamelimit?
