Kernel Module load problem

Hi Prateek,
I want to know if there is a config file which has entries
for the modules that the kernel loads at runtime .How does the kernel know
which device has been connected and which kernel module to load. There has
to be some kind of mapping between them.

Thanks for the prompt reply,
Tushar Dave
