Hi, Is there a way to get the BIOS settings using ipmicmd? I'd appreciate it very much if you could provide me with an example usage. What I am looking for is a way to read the BIOS settings of a remote server. Regards, Kashyap
You need to establish RMCP/RMCP+ session via ipmitool SOL function, this is what we do to setup BIOS menu. Off course, the hardware need to support SOL. http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/lnxinfo/v3r0m0/index.jsp?topic=/lia... BRs, H. Johnny 2011/6/10 C K Kashyap <ckkashyap@gmail.com>:

Hi, It's really depends on hardware. Some vendors have this function, other not. There are a number of ipmi "raw" commnds to manage this task on servers and blades from T-Platforms, for example. Ask your hardware vendor. Best Regards, Sergey Kleymenov +7 (916) 5700064 On Fri, Jun 10, 2011 at 5:53 AM, C K Kashyap <ckkashyap@gmail.com> wrote:
