As far as I understand, you can leave the beginning (first 512 bytes - partition table) of your MBR empty (NULL). Then, the BIOS will look into your partition table for a partition with enabled boot flag. If present it will look there for a boot loader. I don't know if this is something you were looking for. Anyways, you will not be able to change the location of your MBR unless your BIOS explicitly supports that, but I never heard of such options. frukto
