Hi Prateek,

I want to know if there is a config file which has entries for the modules that the kernel loads at runtime .How does the kernel know which device has been connected and which kernel module to load.There has to be some kind of mapping between them.

If you are just trying to get the phone work I suggest that you recompile the untainted kernel and check if it loads. Also, trying to figure out why it wont connect without a list of changes is difficult.
