Rather than quitting the list and denying others access to the vast knowledge-base, i beg everyone to kindly update their spam filters (even for kernel-newbies mails) to ignore the unfortunate spam in recent times. Personally, i have been relentless clicking the "Report Spam" button for EVERY "SPAM" i receive. Now i receive ONLY the non-spam mails to kernel-newbies in my inbox.

Let us continue responding to the rest of the genuine questions to completely drown out the SPAM.
