2.6.10 no boot

I already have a kernel that runs without initrd. Anyway, the use of
initrd doesn't depend on your distro.

Additional information: passing option "earlyprintk" to the kernel
does not show anything.
The system just reboots after showing "Uncompressing Linux.."
