spin_lock and scheduler confusion

Sorry if I am building up the confusion here. But as Dave Hylands
initially mentioned, there will be no timer interrupt. So shouldn't the
NMI watchdog get triggered then? No interrupts -> system freeze -> NMI
Wdt reboot.
