Is your goal to get the 2.6.36 kernel and be done with it, or to learn the
process for yourself.
If just to get it and be done:
There is a project at build.opensuse.org with that kernel:
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=Kernel%3Astable
You can search for the actual installable rpms here:
http://software.opensuse.org/search?q=kernel+2.6.36&baseproject=openSUSE%3A11.2&lang=en&exclude_filter=home%3A&exclude_debug=true
You'll find various packages to choose from based on what you need.
On the upper right corner of each result is the project the package is
coming from. I would stick to those from
Kernel:stable/openSUSE_11.2<http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable/openSUSE_11.2>
