Yup, that would be the one.
Its a neat little modem, nice and simple. It can be set up to
receive/transmit different forms of FSK. RTTY, SAME etc.
It doesn't implement framing for many things (That is though it can
receive bell202 at 1200bps (like in APRS) there is still a ax.25 frame +
APRS that would need to be decoded).
As an example application: Recently I made a RTTY encoder for the
arduino (https://github.com/kg4sgp/arduino-rtty) that with a GPS I use
to send a pre-formatted RTTY string with the location. A friend of mine
wrote a neat little app using minimodem as the FSK decoder that parsed
the string, got the location and then plotted it on goggle maps. The
whole thing might be used for a high altitude balloon flight with a club
that both of us are involved with (http://wiki.w8upd.org).

I don't understand exactly what you're asking. It is in the fedora
repositories (that is you can "yum search minimodem" and it will come up
for f18 - rawhide). There are SRPMs at
